PUGET SOUND BUSINESS JOURNAL - The Boeing Co. (NYSE: BA) is expected to close an order for 500 737 Max jets, a deal that's slated to be announced during President Donald Trump’s state visit to China later this month. Bloomberg first reported the news Friday morning, citing sources familiar with the matter.
The United States and China are also in talks for an additional order of about 100 787 Dreamliners and 777X planes, according to the report. The sale of Boeing’s wide-body planes is expected to be announced sometime after the upcoming U.S.-China summit.
The orders would be a significant boost for Boeing’s Renton factory, which produces the company's 737 Max jets, as well as at the Everett plant, which produces the 777X plane and, soon, the 737 Max 10. The 787 Dreamliner is built in South Carolina.

Note: The 737 is manufactured at Boeing's Renton Production Facility.
