Kent Selects Developer for 9.3-acre Manufacturing Campus

The city of Kent’s long-anticipated Naden Avenue Manufacturing Campus has taken a major step forward.
The city has selected Mortenson Development Inc. to acquire and develop a 9.3-acre site for the future campus, which has been in the works for at least half a dozen years. It is in the Kent Valley industrial submarket north of state Route 516 and east of SR 167.
Mortenson — a prominent builder in the region for more than four decades — paid $18.3 million for the land, or $45 per square foot. The development is a public-private partnership between Mortenson and the city.
