PUGET SOUND BUSINESS JOURNAL - Top Pot Doughnuts has had a strong recovery since Crystal Grays joined as its chief financial officer in 2022.
At the time, the Covid-19 pandemic was in full swing and the company had withdrawn from locations in downtown and West Seattle. In the past year, Top Pot has returned to two of its previous locations, more than doubled its production capacity with a new Kent warehouse space and is eyeing the possibility of growth beyond its core Puget Sound-area market.
“We’re doubling down on operational discipline and looking ahead to expansion into new markets where we can grow sustainably,” Grays said. “The challenge and the opportunity is to keep delivering value and delight, even as the landscape shifts around us.”
Her dual roles as CFO and chief operating officer at the company also allow her to be “a builder, a coach and a partner to the CEO,” Grays said, connecting the dots across finance, operations and strategy.
