As Gov. Ferguson Kicks Off Seattle Space Week, Kent Pitches Power-Rich 300,000 SQFT Manufacturing Campus to Space Firms

THE REGISTRY - As Gov. Bob Ferguson opens Seattle Space Week, Kent is positioning itself as the place where Washington's space and deep-tech companies move from prototype to production, with Actuate Ventures building out its Ignition Point Labs hub and Mortenson Development marketing a 9.3-acre, 20-megawatt campus that could deliver up to 300,000 square feet of build-to-suit space.

Washington’s commercial space industry takes center stage this week, and the City of Kent intends to be in the spotlight when it does. Gov. Bob Ferguson will speak at the Seattle Space Week Kickoff on Monday evening, Sept. 28, at The Museum of Flight, with Kent Mayor Dana Ralph welcoming attendees, according to a Sept. 21 announcement from organizer Space Northwest. Kent is one of four Visionary Sponsors of the weeklong program, alongside PwC, Deloitte and Rocketdyne.
