Ortberg: With 737 Max production Steadying, Boeing Eyes FAA Cap Increase

PUGET SOUND BUSINESS JOURNAL - As the Boeing Co. steadies production on its 737 Max line in Renton, the airplane manufacturer is preparing to seek regulator approval to produce more of the bestselling jets.
Boeing plans to ask the Federal Aviation Administration to raise its monthly cap to 42 of the 737 Max by the end of the year, Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg said Thursday at the Morgan Stanley Annual Laguna Conference.
